Aurelius Immobilien GmbH is a company owned by the Groenewold family. The Hamburg-based company was founded in 2001 by Kurt <\/em> Groenewold<\/em><\/a> and Cornelius Groenewold.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Aurelius Immobilien GmbH is dedicated to the task of developing and building real estate, assembling ensembles of buildings and giving districts a new aesthetic and a meaningful context. The focus is also on urban development compatibility and long-term value creation.<\/p>\n

The Groenewold family’s property companies in the vicinity include Friedrich G. Groenewold Erben GmbH, Kurt and G\u00fcnther Groenewold Immobilien GmbH and Rosenhof Grundst\u00fccksverwaltung GmbH<\/em><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Building activity began with the reconstruction of the Karl Schneider building at Osterstra\u00dfe 120,122\/ Heu\u00dfweg 33,35 in Hamburg-Eimsb\u00fcttel, which Friedrich G. Groenewold had already built in 1951\/1952 from the ruins destroyed during the war. This building marked the beginning of Osterstra\u00dfe’s career as the district’s main shopping street. In 2000, this building was followed by the Karl Schneider Passagen at Heu\u00dfweg 37, 39, 41, which confirmed the location as a shopping center with the Aldi, Deutsche Post, Telekom and Rossmann stores. The Fanny Mendelssohn Passagen with a passageway through the high-rise building to Henry Vahl Park and the extension of the Basic organic food store on Osterstrasse with the addition of seven storeys of apartments are currently being planned. The Karl Schneider Passagen and the Fanny Mendelssohn Passagen have the potential to become the shopping and entertainment center of the Eimsb\u00fcttel district in a few years’ time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Aurelius has been involved in the development of the Channel Harburg district in Hamburg-Harburg since the beginning of 2003. On the initiative of developer Arne Weber in HC Hagemann, vacant oil industry buildings were transformed into well-let residential and office buildings. aurelius constructed a total of 5 award-winning buildings in Schellerdamm:<\/p>\n

In 2016, aurelius developed a new office building for Philips W\u00e4getechnik, Minebea Intec GmbH, on a 50,000 m\u00b2 commercial site in Meiendorfer Stra\u00dfe in Hamburg-Rahlstedt and modernized the approx. 13,000 m\u00b2 Stapelwerk office building. In the meantime, a building for an office center of approx. 4,000 m\u00b2 is being planned and has already been let. The construction of further office and residential buildings is being negotiated. The new development and new tenants will improve the character of the commercial property and facilitate the development of apartments in the district. The project development of the entire site is being led by the managing director of aurelius Meiendorf GmbH, Dr. Thomas M\u00f6ller, who has more than 25 years of experience in the development, planning and construction of large-scale projects.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Hamburg-Ottensen<\/a><\/h3>

Between 2016 and 2018, Aurelius built three new buildings with a total of 23 apartments in a backyard on Klopstockplatz in Hamburg-Ottensen. Architect Heiner Limbrock has given the luxurious apartments a special floor plan and created particular brightness through the internal structure of light wells. The narrow courtyard reinforces the urban character of the apartments and the fact that there are two buildings with a passageway to the street makes the ensemble an idyll. Right next to the famous Klopstock Church, very close to the Elbchaussee and the Ottensen district, the residential building is located in a very historic and popular area.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Hamburg-Volksdorf<\/a><\/h3>

Aurelius has been developing an ensemble of properties on Saseler Weg in Hamburg-Volksdorf since 2019. Three buildings are being constructed there, surrounded by greenery next to the Teichwiesenpark and yet centrally located. On construction site 1, a handicapped-accessible daycare center with a teaching pool and large outdoor play area, handicapped-accessible apartments and a dementia care home are being built for the daycare company SterniPark GmbH. A residential building with 24 family-friendly and disabled-accessible apartments is being built on construction site 2. On construction site 3, 13 spacious and sophisticated architect-designed terraced houses with private gardens and roof terraces are being built.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>
